SUB:- Disbursement of March 2014 Salary on the basis of the existing employee code.

Madam/Sir,

In continuation to this office letter of even No. dated 03.02.14 & 27.02.2014 on the subject matter of stream lining of various financial aspects related to disbursement of salary and it was decided that salary for the month of March, 2014(to be paid in April, 2014) is to be disbursed on the basis of employee code allotted by the KVS Hqrs and dummy employee code to be deleted.

As, for the time being all of the employees could not get correct employee code allotted by KVS Hqrs and the task is still in process and therefore, it has been decided that salary for the month of March, 2014 will be disbursed on the basis of existing employee code as usual. The deletion of Dummy employee code will be taken up during April, 2014.

Subject: - Disbursal of salary for October 2013, Bonus and DA arrears to staff reg.

Sir/ Madam,
   This has a reference to the subject cited above and to state that the salary to the staff of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is being disbursed by Union Bank of India through its web-portal for which adequate funds is regularly remitted to the UBI well in time by the Sangathan. The existing system of disbursal of salary to the staff through UBI Web-portal is not only a hassle free and full proof arrangement but also saves time on both sides. As a result, all employees of Sangathan are getting their salary on the last working day. There are instances where the project authorities failed to remit the funds to Vidyalayas as per the terms & conditions of (MOU) Memorandum of Understanding to meet the Recurring & Non-recurring expenditure including salary that facilitated slight delay in disbursal of salary to the employees of one or two project Vidyalayas. In such cases too, Sangathan initiated necessary action suo motu and provided required funds to meet such contingency.

Sub:- Payment of salary to staff engaged on contractual basis against vacant posts, out of School fund.

Sir/ Madam,

   It has come to the notice of the Sangathan Hqrs that the Teachers engaged on contractual basis against vacant posts are being paid out of VVN in some Vidyalayas. Government of India releases grant-in-aid for payment of salary to all sanctioned posts which include staff in position and vacant posts filled on contractual basis. On one hand, this has resulted in huge unspent balances in Non-Plan grants at the end of the Financial Year and on the other hand this has caused undue but avoidable burden on the Vidyalayas Vikas Nidhi which is exclusively meant for the welfare of the students.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan ties up with Union Bank for pay disbursement to employees

   NEW DELHI: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Union Bank of India today entered into an understanding for centralised salary disbursement of KVS employees across the country.

   Under the agreement, a comprehensive solution for disbursement of salary to all the 56,000 KVS employees will be offered by the bank through a customised web portal.

   The MoU was signed in the presence of Minister of State for HRD D Purandeswari and the bank's chairman-cum-managing director M V Nair.

   Nair said the web portal will carry salary details of all employees of KVS schools and regional offices and ensure "transparency" in the system.

   He said the system of salary disbursement developed by the bank for KVS will be capable of handling various other features like fee collection and management of schools funds, scholarship disbursement and management of funds under any grants and aid programme
