Subject: Re-employment of retired Government Servants. 

The Governor is pleased to order that the existing item no. 2 of Government of 

Rajasthan's Decision appearing below Rule 151 of Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1996 (inserted vide FD Notification Of even number dated 22.09.2014) shall be substituted by the following namely.- 

2. Re-employment of retired officers and employees as senior personal staff coterminous to the tenure of the Minister or who has been given status of Cabinet, State or Deputy Minister. 

This order shall come into force with immediate effect.

No jobs for smokers in Rajasthan power companies

In a major blow to cigarette smokers in Rajasthan, the state government-owned electricity companies have decided not to offer jobs to people who either smoke cigarettes or chew tobacco products. 

"A directive in this regard is expected to be issued soon," a source in the state energy department told IANS. 

A state-level committee for tobacco control October 2012 recommended that no person should be offered a government job if he or she smokes or chews tobacco. A circular in this regard was issued November 2013, just before the assembly election, but some of the departments are yet to implement it. 

Candidates seeking jobs in these electricity firms will first have to give an undertaking that he or she does not smoke or chew tobacco products.

   3. In the aforesaid rules -

   (i) Below existing clause (v) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 3, the following shall be inserted as new clause (vi), namely;-

   “(vi) A Medical Officer of the Hospital run under a Public Private Partnership arrangement.”

   Government servants appointed as probationer trainee on the death of their spouse while in service under the Rajasthan Compassionate Appointment of Dependents of deceased Government Servants Rules 1996 were allowed compensatory allowance equal to the amount of Dearness Relief admissible to them from time to time on family pension during the period of probation in addition to fixed remuneration under Finance Department Order of even number dated 04-03-2011 which is effective from 01-03-2011 whereas the provisions of payment of fixed remuneration to the probationer trainee were introduced with effect from 20-01-2006.
