Subject: Hard/Tenure stations.

A list of ‘Hard’ & ‘Tenure’ stations is already in circulation along with the Draft Transfer Policy on 28/6/ 14 for seeking comments. All concerned have given their views on the subject matter. After examination and due deliberation, the competent authority in the HQrs office has decided, once again, to solicit views/suggestions of all concerned, if any.

2. Hence, a combined list of proposed Hard/Tenure stations, taking into account recommendations of the Controllers and administrative feasibility/requirement is annexed with the request to offer your considered views wIthin 15 days from the date of issue of this letter. Nil report is also required.

SUB:- Inclusion/Deletion in the list of existing Hard / Very Hard stations notified vide this Office Memorandum of even number dated 10.10.2011

   Based on the recommendation of the Committee, constituted for the purpose of consideration of the proposals for inclusion/deletion of Hard / Very Hard stations, the Hon’ble HRM-Cum-Chairman, KVS has accorded approval for inclusion of following three Kendriya Vidyalayas in the list of Hard Stations with immediate effect.

   Accordingly, a revised list containing the names of 105 Hard Stations and 26 Very Hard Stations is enclosed for information of all concerned.

   Other terms & conditions as mentioned in this Office Memorandum of even number dated 263.2007 will remain unchanged. This office memorandum may be circulated among all the Kendriya Vidyalayas.

   In accordance with the decision taken by the Board of Governors, KVS in its 94th meeting held on 28.12.2012 as circulated vide KVS (HQ) circular No.F.11019/9/2012-KVS(Admn-II) dated 11.01.2013 the Board has approved the inclusion/deletion in the list of existing hard/very hard stations notified vide this office memorandum of even No. dated 10.10.2011 and has come into force with effect from 28.12.2012.

Subject:- Grant of Hard Area Allowance to the Central Government employees posted in the Islands of UT of Lakshadweep other than Kavarati & Agati.

   The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry’s O.M. No.12(1)/E-11(B)/03 dt. 01-03-2004 on grant of Hard Area allowance to Central Govt. employees posted in Nicobar Group of Islands w.e.f. 01-04-2004 and subsequent O.M. No.12(4)/2008-E.II(B), dated 29th August 2008, extending this allowance to all central Government employees posted in Minicoy in Lakshadweep @ 25% of (basic pay + NPA, where applicable), w.e.f. 01-09-2008 which was accepted by the Govt. based on the recommendations of the Sixth Central Pay Commission and to say that the proposal to also extend Hard Area Allowance in Islands other than Minicoy of UT of Lakshadweep has been under consideration of the Government for some time.
