Amendment in the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1996.

NOTIFICATION

No. F. 12(3)FD/Rules/2008

Jaipur, dated :- 28 June 2013

Subject :- Amendment in the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1996.

   In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Rajasthan hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1996, namely :-

   1. These rules may be called the Rajasthan Civil Services (Pension) (Amendment) Rules, 2013.

   2. These rules shall come into force with effect from 01.07.2013.

   3. In the said rules: -

   (i) in the second proviso to Rule 7, in sub-rule (3) of Rule 42, in sub-rule (2) of Rule 43 and in clause (b) of sub-rule (2) of Rule 54, the existing words “Rupees Three Thousand Twenty Five per mensem” shall be substituted by the words :Rupees Three Thousand Four Hundred Fifty per mensent.”

   (ii) the existing clause (i) of Rule 62 shall be substituted by the following, namely :-

   “(a) Family pension shall be admissible @ 30% of emoluments subject to a minimum of Rs. 3450/- per month and maximum of 30% of the highest pay in the Government (the highest pay in the Government is Rs. 77000/- since 01.01.2006.)”

   (iii) Minimum Pension / Family Pension for Pre-2006 Pensioners / Family Pensioners :-

   “The consolidated Pension / Family Pension in terms of paragraph 4 of FD Memorandum No. F. 12(3)FD/Rules/2008 dated 12.09.2008 is an amount less than Rs. 3450/- the same shall be stepped up to Rs. 3450/-. This will be regarded as
Pension / Family Pension w.e.f 01.07.2013. In the case of pensioners who are in receipt of more than one pension, the floor ceiling of Rs. 3450/- will apply to the total of all pensions taken together.”

   (iv) In para 6 of FD Memorandum No. F. 12(2)FD/Rules/2013 dated 18.06.2013, the existing words and figures “Rs. 3025/- p.m.” shall be substituted by the words and figures “Rs. 3450/- p.m.” with effect from 01.07.2013.
