Full Interest subsidy on Education Loans for Students

ORDER 

Government of India provides full Interest-subsidy for the academic sessions 2009-10 onwards, till the scheme remains in operation during the moratorium on educational loans for students with parental family income less than 4.5 Lakh annually, from scheduled Banks for pursuing courses of studies in Technical Education and professional streams from recognized Institutions of India. 

2. In order to ensure that benefits accrue to the eligible students of the States, the Government now designates authorities as hereunder to issue certificates based on income criteria only. 
Kolkata Municipal Corporation
Collector, Kolkata.
District Level
District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate of the concerned district.
Sub-Divisional Level
Sub-Divisional Officer of the concerned Sub-Division.
Block Level
Block Development Officer of the concerned Block.
3. This refer to D.O. No. 11-19/2011-US, dated 29.05.2012 from the Joint Secretary (H.E.), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Government of India. 

4. This issues in supersession of this Department’s Order No. FS-21/2011 dated 22.01.2011, FS-34/2011 dated 22.02.2011, FS-42/2011 dated 09.03.2011, FS-49/2011 dated 17.03.2011, 31-IF dated 06.06.2012 read with No. 91-IF dated 29.08.2012.
