OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject:- Promotion of Section Officers of the CSS to Grade I (Under Secretary) of the CSS on adhoc basis regarding.

   The undersigned is to say that due to ongoing litigation, this Department has not been in a position to bring out Select Lists of Under Secretary after 2008 and accordingly this Department has been resorting to adhoc promotion in the grade. This Department proposes to do another round of adhoc promotion to meet the immediate requirement of USs. In order to proceed further, a statement has been prepared depicting availability of ACRs/APARs as well as vigilance status in respect of SOs who are likely to be considered by the Screening Committee for adhoc promotion. The facts in the statement may please be verified and pending ACRs/APARs and vigilance status may be made available to this Division latest by 30th November, 2011 positively.
