Recruitment in Central Police Forces is an ongoing process with the help of UPSC, SSC and Force recruitment boards. Recently, Government has issued modified scheme for common recruitment of Constables in CPFs to be conducted by Staff Selection Commission. The new scheme aims at making the process of recruitment more fair, objective, efficient, effective and transparent by maximizing the use of technology, including biometric technology, in the recruitment process
This was stated by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Shri Mullappally Ramachandran in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today
