IAF Common Admission Test on Sunday

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is conducting a Common Admission Test (AFCAT) on March 27, 2011 (Sunday) to shortlist candidates for induction as Officers in the IAF. Introduced for the first time, the test is being conducted for screening candidates for the three branches of Flying, Technical and Ground Duties.

The test will be conducted at 49 cities all over the country. AFCAT has been introduced with an aim to provide equal opportunities to men and women pursuing different levels and streams of under-graduate and post-graduate programmes including B.E./B.Tech. Those qualifying will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at any of the Air Force Selection Boards located at Dehradun, Varanasi or Mysore.

The selected candidates will be inducted for training at the IAF training establishments in January 2012. AFCAT would be conducted twice a year.
