Further guidelines for empanelled Health Care Units for Medical Treatment under WBHS, 2008.

CORRIGENDUM

In the further guidelines for empanelled Health Care Units for Medical Treatment under WBHS, 2008 below letter bearing no. 11253(80)-F(MED) dated 16.12.11 the following amendments may be incorporated :-

A.

Serial no. 3 under Package Treatment -Not more than two packages should normally be performed or planned. Permission of the West Bengal Health Scheme Authority is necessary for more than three packages.

Serial no. 5 under Package Treatment - In case of implantation of drug eluting stent, multiple stenting, opinion of Cardiac Surgeon will be required whether Bye-pass Surgery or PTCA with stenting is medically suitable for the patient. If digital hearing aid is prescribed, the specific reason for conventional hearing aid not being medically suitable is to be mentioned. Permissions of the West Bengal Health Scheme Authority are to be taken in all the cases by the H.C.O.s in advance.

In case of implantation of more than one drug eluting stent or more than two stents, opinion of the Cardiac surgeon will be required whether Bye-pass surgery or PTCA with stenting is medically suitable for the patient. If digital hearing aid is prescribed, specific reason for conventional hearing aid not being medically suitable is to be mentioned. Permission of the West Bengal Health Scheme Authority are to be taken by the H.C.O.s in advance in all the above cases including cases which involve implantation of costly devices like AICD, CRT with AICD, DBS implants, Intra-thecal Pumps, Spinal Cord Stimulators etc. as provided in W.B.H.S. 2008 and its related G.O.s
