OFFICE MEMORANDUM
The undersigned is directed to invite a reference to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 11th December, 2006 and OM No. 2-7/69-Fin(R&E), dated the 14th May, 2008 vide which the quantum of Capital Allowance admissible to State Government employees posted at Shimla and its suburbs i.e. Mashobra, Dhalli, Taradevei, Kusumpti, Jutough & Totu was enhanced/ revised to Rs. 175/- per month with effect from 1st January, 2007. The said Capital Allowance was also extended in respect of State Government employees of H.P. who are posted in all States/ UTs Capitals and National Capital, Delhi.
The matter relating to enhancement / revision of the rate of Capital Allowance was engaging attention of the State Government for sometime past and after due consideration, it has been decided by the State Government to enhance/ revise the existing rate of Capital Allowance from Rs.175/- PM to Rs.275/- PM with effect from 01.02.2012 which will be paid in cash with the salary of February, 2012 payable in March, 2012.
