Holiday declared under N.I. Act on 12th January, 2012 (Thursday), the birthday of Swami Vivekananda

NOTIFICATION

   In exercise of the power conferred under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (XXVI of 1881) read with explanation thereunder and also Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. 20/25/S6-Pub(I), dated the 8th June, 1957, the Governor is pleased to declare Thursday, the l2th January, 2012, the birthday of Swami Vivekananda as a Public holiday. This is in partial modification of earlier Notification No. 10972-F(P) dated 7.12.11

  3. Few private English medium schools do not honour government order. Always they make their own rules to exploit their employees.Government is silent regarding
    it.

Since the notification is following the provisions of Negotiable Instruments Act, the said day will become a holiday for all private sector banks and other financial institutions and in no way it will be applicable to private sector establishments other than Banks and other establishments which deal with finance.

    In order to be made applicable to Schools, private sector commercial establishments and factories, the notification should be issued by the Dept of Education, Labour department or Inspector of Factories, as the case may be.

    So, friends no harsh feelings as you have not got a holiday.
