Army Chief recollects old days at IMA

Dehradun, June 23 (PTI) For over 150 officers, including Army Chief General V K Singh, it was journey down memory lane when they got together at their alma mater ? the Indian Military Academy (IMA) here today.

General V K Singh, who passed out from the IMA in June 1970, had bagged the Rajputana Rifle Medal, awarded to the Gentlemen Cadet adjudged best in Tactical Ability, Initiative and Leadership, during his training days.

He, as the Senior Under Officer (Cassino Company) also had led his company to lift the Chief of staff Banner, awarded to the company standing over all first at that time.

The course has five Serving Generals which includes Vice Chief of Army staff Lt Gen PC Bhardwaj, Lt Gen BS Nagal, Lt Gen CKS Sabu, Lt Gen RK Loomba, and Lt Gen AKS Chandele.
