Dear Sir,
Sub: (i) PNM/AIRF Item No. 19-B12013 — Shortage of Doctors.
                                                                &
        (ii) PNM/AIRF Item No. 28-A/2013 — Plight of the women recruited against the vacancies of Trackmen.

In the PNM/AIRF meeting held on 16th & 17th January, 2014, in respect of Item No. 19-B/2013, the Federation demanded that the maximum period for CMP Doctors may be increased from 8 years to 10 years. Necessary instructions have since been issued vide Board’s letter No. 2013/E(GR)II/1/5 dated 20.05.2014 (copy enclosed). 

In respect of Item No. 28-A/2013, it was decided in the last meeting that instructions to be issued to zonal Railways that as far as possible and practicable, women deputed as Trackmen be posted at such stations/places where adequate facilities are available. Instructions have since been issued vide Board’s letter No. 2013/CE-I/GNS/23 Pt. dated 28.05.2014.

In view of above, the above two PNM items may please be closed. A confirmation is requested.
