Sub:- Time Bound Advancement Scheme-Exercise of option to continue in the scale of pay of the lower post-Extension of time limit-reg.

PREAMBLE:

   In Official Memorandum No. FD 60 SRP 84, dated: 11.12.1985, it was clarified that a Government servant who desired to continue in the scale of pay of the lower post until he becomes eligible for the Selection Time-Scale of pay under the scheme of Time-bound Advancement should give an option in writing to that effect to the Appointing Authority within two months from the date of promotion or from the date of issue of the Official Memorandum.

   In Government Orders read at (2) to (4) above, the time limit for giving option for TBA was extended from time to time till.30.9.2002. Proposals have been received from several departments for further extension of this time limit. Government have considered the same and the following orders are issued.

BANGALORE, DATED 14TH NOVEMBER 2OI3
 
  Government are pleased to extend the time-limit for giving option for TBA by Government servants who have been promoted to higher posts on or after 01.04.1982 for a further period upto 31.12.2013.

  The Heads of Departments should bring the contents of this order to the notice of all employees coming under their administrative control immediately.
