Subject: Anomaly in fixation of pay of Loco Supervisory, Staff appointed prior to 01-01-06 with reference to their juniors appointed after 01-01-06 and drawing more pay than seniors.

   The under signed is directed to refer to your letter No. NFIR No. IV/RSAC/conf./II dated 21-07-2011 on the above subject and to state that the recommendations of AM’s committee and suggestion made in your letter No. NFIR/6thCPC/Anomaly/08 dated 26-02-2009 were examined in Board’s office but the same were not found acceptable. However, to resolve the anomaly in fixation of Pay of Loco Supervisory Staff appointed prior to 01-01-2006 with reference to their juniors appointed after 01-01-2006 and drawing more pay than seniors. Sr. Loco Inspectors have been allowed benefit of stepping up of pay at par with their juniors Loco Inspectors subject to fulfillment of certain conditions vide Board’s letter No. E(P&A)II/2008,RS- 37 dated 24-07-2009.(copy enclosed).

   Further in the illustration mentioned in your letter dated 21-07-2011 ibid, the feeder post from which Senior & Junior Loco Inspectors were promoted, are not mentioned. The same may be advised to this office so that it may be examined whether instructions contained in Board’s letter of 24-07-7009 are applicable in this case or not.
