   As per the Pay Revision Orders read above, three scales of pay have been newly introduced for different categories of part-time contingent employees. Part-time Contingent employees are also eligible for one additional increment each on completion of qualifying service of 8,15, 22, 27 years w.e.f. 01/02/2011. A doubt has been raised as to whether the additional increment sanctioned to part-time contingent employees for 8,15, 22, 27 years of service can be given without affecting the normal increment of the employees or the first increment after the sanction of additional increment be given on completion of one year from the date of authorization of additional increment.

   Government have examined the matter in detail and are pleased to clarify that the additional increment sanctioned on completion of qualifying service of 8,15,22,27 years is an additional benefit granted for the service and it will not affect the normal annual increment of part-time contingent employees.
