Office Memorandum

Suhject:- Payment of arrears on account of revision of 1/3rd commuted portion of pension to those Govt. servants who had absorbed in PSUs/Autonomous Bodies.

   In continuation to this Department's Office Memorandum of even number dated the 29th March, 2010, 2nd November, 2010 and 10th March,2011 on the subject cited above, the undersigned is directed to say that the Governor, Himachal Pradesh, is now pleased to order the payment of additional 10% of 1/3rd commuted portion of pension arrears upto 30-09-2009 accrued to the Pensioners (absorbees) w.e.f. 1.1.2006 or from the date of restoration of 1/3rd commuted portion of pension whichever is latter to such pensioners (absorbees). Thus, the total cumulative arrears released so far after taking into account the present release, shall amount to 50% of the total arrears to those Govt. servants who had been absorbed in PSUs/Autonomous Bodies

   2. It shall be the responsibility of Pension Disbursing Authorities including Public Sector Banks that 10% of 1/3rd commuted portion of arrears as stated in para 1 above, is drawn and disbursed to the pensioners between the festivals of Dussehera and Diwali in the month of October,2011.

   3. In the case of Pensioners (absorbees), who have unfortunately died, the entire outstanding amount of arrears on account of 1/3rd commuted portion of pension shall be paid in cash to the family/legal heir(s)/Nominee(s) as the case may be between the festivals of Dussehera and Diwali in the month of October, 2011.
