As per the instructions of Government of India/Rules, Ex-servicemen are already being recruited in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assam Rifles. Government has also accorded sanction/approval for engagement of Ex-servicemen in CAPFs on contractual basis. There is no other proposal under consideration of the Government to absorb ex-servicemen into the CAPFs.
Strengthening of the force by way of expansion, improvement of infrastructure, mobility, modern weaponry and equipment, communication systems, strengthening of the intelligence machinery, training facilities etc. Is a continues process carried out on the basis of review conducted from time to time keeping in view the security scenario in the country.
This was stated by Shri Jintendra Singh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
