ORDER :

The Hon ’ ble Minister for Labour while moving this Department ’ s Demand for the year 2010-2011, on the floor of Assembly on 30.4.2010 has made an announcement that Ayurvedha Units will be opened at ESI Hosital, Ayanavaram, Coimbatore and Madurai.

2. In the letters read above, the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (ESIS), has sent the proposal regarding opening of Ayurvedha Units at ESI Hospital, Ayanavaram, Coimbatore and Madurai.


3. The Government after careful examination, accept the proposal of Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (ESIS) and sanction the opening of Ayurvedha Units in three Employees State Insurance Hospitals at Ayanavaram, Coimbatore and Madurai.


4. Sanction is also accorded for creation of the following posts to the Ayurvedha Units in three Employees State Insurance Hospitals at Ayanavaram, Coimbatore and Madurai and for utilizing the other posts by redeployment with the existing staff of the concerned ESI Hospitals:-

(i) Ayurvedha Doctor - 3 posts (One post for each Hospital)
(Rs.15,600+5400-39100)


(ii) Ayurvedha Pharmacists - 3 posts (One post for each Hospital)
(Rs.5200+2800-20200)


5. The Director of Medical & Rural Health Services (ESIS) is directed to post the above staff in the Ayurvedha Units in three Employees State Insurance Hospitals at Ayanavaram, Coimbatore and Madurai not before one month from the date of actual implementation of the scheme in the said Employees State Insurance Hospitals.


6. The posts sanctioned in paragraph 4 above are created temporarily for a period of one year, reckoned from the date of filling up of these posts. The incumbents of these posts are eligible to draw the pay and allowances in force as applicable to the related scales of pay.


7. The Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (ESI) is requested to review the working of this scheme after six months of its introduction and to furnish a report to Government and also instructions for opening of an “ Ayurvedha Unit in ESI Hospitals issued by the ESIC, New Delhi will be followed in the proposal for establishment of Ayurvedha Units in three Employees State Insurance Hospitals at Ayanavaram, Coimbatore and Madurai.
